#GoREDforRai
On June 1, 2016, Raijean Stroud, well known Lifestyle and Luxury Blogger of Swa-Rai.com, suffered a stroke. Raijean fought to recover for 10 long months, but lost her battle on April 1, 2017. She is survived by her favorite person in the whole world; her 8 year old son, Kehinde BKA "The Boy Child."
Raijean was diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy (disease of the heart) in 2008. Later Raijean founded an organization called, "Bleeding Heart Project" to educate people on Heart Disease. Raijean produced annual events to raise awareness and money for heart disease. She spoke at many major events such as, “American Heart Association Chicago Most Powerful Voices Concert on behalf of Bleeding Heart Project!" Raijean's mission was "Educating the world about Heart disease, one heart at a time."
February is “Heart Health Month.” We want to keep Raijean's memory and legacy alive by supporting the #GoREDforRAI movement. Here is how to support:
1. Wear RED every Friday the whole month of February, starting on National Go Red Day (2.2.18). Post pictures using the hashtag #GoREDforRAI
2. Pledge 28: For 28 days, we want everyone to commit to doing 28 minutes of cardio. (Raijean love Zumba, walking and running).
3. Pledge $28 to Gofundme. A portion of the proceeds will go to Raijean’s favorite heart foundation and the remainder will support her son.
Remember: Wear Red and Pledge 28!!
