Safe Housing and Hygiene

Hi my name is Akiya. I’m 23 living in Missouri and currently having hardships getting by since Covid 19 pandemic. Was laid off in March and couldn’t longer afford my part of the rent and other bills so I was forced to leave my home I shared with my mom and other siblings. Relationship between my mother ruined my mental well being,has caused severe anxiety,depression and on occasion physical abuse I can no longer tolerate. I was staying with my aunt but only for a short period of time and currently stay in my car or either at a hotel whenever I can afford too. Everyday is a struggle finding a safe and healthy place to rest my head,eat and properly bathe.
