It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic loss of Deputy Constable Ruben Garcia. Ruben Garcia gave his life in the line of duty while protecting our community. Ruben was not only a dedicated law enforcement officer, but also a loving husband and a father of three beautiful children. He was known for his infectious sense of humor and had a heart always willing to help others. During his lifetime, he touched the lives of many and brought laughter to those around him. He was passionate about his work and deeply loved being a law enforcement officer.

No one can truly prepare for something like this. One day we're praying for another family, and the next it's one of our own friends, neighbors, and colleagues in need.
