Luke's Fight Against Leukemia

Hi, my name is Ashley and I started this gofundme to help my dear friends Adam, Jayda, Luke & Hanna.

On February 20, 2023, Luke became very ill. Jayda (his mother) had that gut feeling something wasn't right. She took him to emerg and quickly found out Luke's liver was enlarged as well as his platelets were low. Next thing Luke & his mom knew EMS were on their way to transport them to Sick Kids hospital. Once they arrived at Sick Kids more tests were performed, and Luke was given a diagnosis with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Soon after Luke's diagnosis, the family was given their plan of action. Luke is looking at two years and three months of treatment, recovery and kicking this cancer's butt! Luke will be looking at hospital stays of four weeks each and one week at home in between.

Adam (Luke's dad) and Jayda will be splitting their time at the hospital, Jayda will be there through the week and Adam will be there on weekends.

The family depends on a dual income and sadly, Jayda will not be able to work during Luke's treatment/recovery. Adam will be working more hours throughout the week to help with the lost income.

Hanna, (Luke's little sister) will be having to navigate through this long journey as well. Hanna will be spending most of her time with family & friends, missing her brother & mom terribly.

I have had to stay at Sick Kids for a long period with my youngest son and it's not easy emotionally, mentally or financially. My goal for this campaign is to help the family eliminate as much stress as possible financially.
