Help for Ray

Hi My name is Alice and I'm fundraising for Raymond Doucha.

Raymond became ill with Covid-19 and was admitted to ICU on May 19, 2021. He was hit very badly and remains in ICU today, on a ventilator and after having a trachyotomy. Ray has been in an induced coma. His wife, Bev also contracted Covid as well as his mother who has since passed away and as of this writing Raymond has not been told of his mother's passing.

He has been off the ventilator for 3 days. He is starting to swallow and voice train with a speech therapist. He is still very weak, he only manages to sit in a chair and stand to transfer to and from the bed. It's too soon to move him out of ICU, once the doctors feel he is strong enough to be moved to a regular ward that will happen and once he is strong enough and well enough he will have to go to a rehab center.

Raymond owns his own business and as a result of his illness is unable to work and bring in any money to support his family, let alone pay his monthly bills and hospital expenses. He has a long road to recovery and we all pray that there will not be any long term effects. In the weeks and months ahead Ray will not be able to work or bring in any income. As of now we don't know what future treatments and rehabilitation will be needed, I will update on that as the information becomes available.

I am asking for help for Raymond and his family to get through this incredibly hard time and truly appreciate any and all help that can be given.
