The Camino Santiago -800km Walk for our Mum

Our dear mum, Ida has suffered from Dementia for several years, Like any family who has been affected by dementia, watching a loved one go through this cruel disease is tough. Witnessing Ida go from a vibrant, confident, strong independent woman rapidly deteriorate to someone completely dependent on others is heartbreaking.

As a family, we wanted to contribute to raising awareness and money for an amazing charity, in the hope that one day, families won't have to endure the pain it evokes.

If you know us and our parents, you'd know that we love to travel, experience different cultures and challenges, so we've set ourselves the ultimate goal to complete the Camino Santiago, a route starting at St Jean Pied De Port and ending at the steps of the cathedral in Santiago De Compostella... in layman's term, an 800km Pilgrimage walk over the Pyrenees and northern Spain, carrying all we need on our backs for an average of 25-30km per day for 35 days. Something our parents would love to have been part of........... This is for them.

You can check out more information on the walk on the following website: https://santiagoways.com/

Or you can follow our progress daily on our Facebook page:

We would appreciate any donation given or even a simple follow/share of our page.

Thank you for your time.
