On March 22nd Kaiden had surgery to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. A few days later on Sunday March 26th Kaiden woke up in horrible pain, wouldn’t bear weight, fevered, and not his happy go lucky self. He was taken to the hospital and transferred to Children’s hospital in Pittsburgh where he was admitted and has since undergone multiple tests. He unfortunately tested positive for Covid and abnormal blood work. After 2 MRI’s it was finally discovered that Kaiden has Vertebral Osteomyelitis. The MRI showed he had a baseball size mass that formed from the bone infection. Kaiden then underwent a 3 hour surgery to drain the mass. He currently has a PICC line and is expected to have long term antibiotics and physical therapy. Kaiden remains in the hospital, still unable to bear weight/ walk.
If you know anything about Kaitlyn and Brayden, it’s that they would give the shirt off their back for anyone in need. Both have been out of work to support and be by their son’s side.
All donations will go directly to Kaitlyn and Brayden to help with medical bills, lost wages, meals while in the hospital, and to help this family keep their heads above water. Your generosity is sincerely appreciated.
