In Memory of Serge

Serge Diatko, a man who truly understood the value of friendship and integrity.

Those who meant something to Serge knew he would give you the shirt off his back - even in the rain.

A man of old world values, placing the greatest dedication and effort into keeping his word.

Although Serge was not one for long-winded sentences, pick the right topic and he would certainly make his views known.  Serge loved the art of being a stone mason.  His accomplishments made him proud and passionate to always learn, and continue perfecting his trade.  Sadly, his dreams and goals were cut short.  A strong, young man, taken from us so suddenly.

Serge will sincerely be missed.  Leaving behind his mother his positive energy and kind soul.  The team Serge worked with were close knit; left to fill some very large shoes indeed.  His attention to detail and passion for doing it right were integral to his every day. His creations, in the medium of natural stone, scattered throughout the city of Toronto which he called home, will thankfully last decades onward; allowing those he left behind to keep him close and continually be inspired.  A tall man, a compassionate man, and a man loved and respected very much! May you rest in peace in a better place, but stay close in spirit to those who mattered to you, helping to guide their journeys with your high-held values and virtues.
