Help Vigo Fight for His Life!

Dear friends, family, and compassionate souls,

I’m reaching out on behalf of my son, Travis, and his loyal companion, Vigo. Vigo isn’t just a pet—he’s a retired police canine who has dedicated his life to serving our community. Throughout his career, Vigo played a crucial role in combating drugs and successfully tracking missing persons. His gentle nature endeared him to children, and he always greeted community members with enthusiasm during demonstrations.

Even in retirement, Vigo’s spirit remained unbreakable. He became a star on TikTok , where his videos with Travis have touched the hearts of over 280,000 followers. Vigo has become beloved by all who have met him, both in person and online.

Now, Vigo is facing the toughest battle of his life. He has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, which has triggered a Lyme disease flare-up, leading to extreme fatigue and sudden paralysis in his back legs. A recent vet visit also revealed some infections that Vigo is currently battling as well. Despite these serious challenges, Vigo’s fighting spirit shines through—he’s still eating, drinking, and giving his all to stay with us.

Vigo is in a very delicate situation, but there are signs that with continued aggressive treatment, he could recover. However, the medical bills for his treatment, including continued vet visits, laboratory testing, antibiotics, IV fluids, probiotics, pain relief, and now infection management, are mounting quickly. Travis is doing everything in his power to care for Vigo, but this burden is overwhelming. As a mother, it’s heartbreaking to see my son struggle, especially when someone he loves so dearly is in need.

That’s why I’m creating this GoFundMe—to ask for your help in supporting Travis and Vigo. Travis is not one to ask for help, but this time, the challenge is simply too great to face alone. Vigo has given so much to our community and has brought joy to so many lives. Now, he needs our help to continue living the life he loves.
