In Loving Memory of Orlandus Lamont Parker
It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Orlandus Lamont Parker, make this announcement. After being unable to reach Orlandus over the weekend, his uncle John went by to check on him. He found that the Lord had called him home. It was very shocking and heartbreaking.
This tragic loss struck us unexpectedly, and unfortunately Orlandus was uninsured at the time of his death. We would like to honor his memory with a dignified funeral and burial. Your loving donations will be used to assist us in covering the costs associated with those services.
Anyone who knew Orlandus also knew that he was an avid chess player! He not only loved participating in the game, but he also enjoyed introducing it to the younger generation. With his legacy in mind, the family hopes to establish an annual scholarship fund to help inner-city youth chess players.
We thank you for taking the time to read our story, and we appreciate any and all financial assistance you can give in helping us reach our goal. We also sincerely request your continued prayers and words of support.
