Greetings….My name is Angela Majors, and I am a first generation student, Junior Liberal Arts Major at the Tennessee State University. I serve as a student leader holding a 3.5 gpa. I received an acceptance letter/ opportunity out of many students to Study abroad in Ghana this upcoming summer semester.
The HBCU Africa Education Coalition (HAEC) provide students the opportunity to study abroad and student exchange which uses a Pan-African model designed to promote Pan Africanism, Global Competency, and Leadership skills among students of African Ancestry. I and other student leaders from HBCUs and African Universities, will focus on the principles of Identity and the Primacy of Africa, Humanism, and African Unity and Socialism which will allow me to take actions to make my local, national, and international ecosystems more Equitable and Inclusive.
In December 2022, I received my acceptance notification from HAEC to study abroad in Africa during May - Jun of 2023.
