Ghandour Family Gaza Fundraiser

Donation protected
EDIT, MAY 4th, 2024: As per the updates and pictures below and in email updates to backers, Doaa and Nour got to safety around the first week of April. They've just been rebuilding their lives now, and have new clothes, a new apartment, and real and actual food. Burgers, kofta, ice cream, the works. Suffice to say they're doing well. As to the rest of the family, we're still waiting on the one family member to give birth; they don't want to move around much and risk the pregnancy. We'll provide updates as we can, but that at the moment is the major bottleneck. Thank you all again for all the donations and we'll do our best to honor your help and concern.

EDIT, MARCH 4th 2024: Hey all. $18,000. Thank you all so much. We're still in Cairo; we did the first round for Doaa and her sister on Thursday of last week, took like 20 hours of waiting across 3-4 days. We will know in the coming weeks whether her situation gets better. But suffice to say we're hopeful. The rest of the family is debating whether to get aid now, with a pregnant woman in the mix. More updates as we can give them.

Edit Feb 13: THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! $13,000 is something we can start to get things in motion with. One of us is headed to Cairo tomorrow to try to start the process. If you have questions please do ask and we can try to keep you updated.

HELLO ALL! This is the Palestine Skating Game team. We're fundraising for Doaa and her surviving 6 family members in Gaza. (If anyone has a Work Visa for Doaa, by the way, she's a Unity app programmer who's shipped a top-notch app, and a visa will help her get out.)

Doaa and Nour, two sisters from the Ghandour family, survived an Israeli airstrike on their house December 3, 2023. The bomb killed most of their household, and left Nour, a 14 year old with special needs severely injured, and to undergo surgery on her arm without anesthesia. Doaa and Nour and their extended family members have since evacuated multiple homes.

We're raising $48,000 for Doaa and Nour and their surviving brothers and sisters, and nephews and nieces. In total it's 4 adults and 3 kids. There is also a brother that is missing. Whatever money we raise will be reserved for the family's use, either for relocation costs or to rebuild a home. Anything beyond the $48,000 will help with aid, food, and so on--so long as soldiers and Israeli protestors aren't blocking it. (Again, Doaa is a good Unity coder, has shipped an app, and could DEFINITELY use a Work Visa to anywhere.)

Israeli Occupation Forces have cut off all medical supplies, as well as water and food, from Palestinians in Gaza, amidst the continued carpet bombing and genocide. It has left our friends to navigate the most severe humanitarian crisis of our time.

HELP US HELP THEM! From the PSG team, thanks for your attention and time, and if you donate you have our sincerest thanks. Please help us give aid to the surviving Ghandour family members.
