Greetings Everyone!
I am the loving mother to my son TJ, who is now 11 years old. Since Fall 2012 I have shared joint custody of TJ with his father with me being the primary custodial parent. That all changed last year, as I was unfortunately ordered to give TJ to his father who was granted temporary sole physical and legal custody. My son has always lived with me and it literally broke me into pieces that I had to give up my son. My son cried and cried but there was nothing that I could do because my hands were tied. This is my only child and those that know me, know that TJ is my everything, he is my twin, my shadow, and all that I have lived for. We wanted a fresh start and decided to establish residency in Columbia, SC. I have been engaged since 2017 to the love of my life, Anthony. He has been a great bonus parent in TJ’s life & he gives TJ the additional love, care, and attention just as I myself do. We have always had his best interests in mind. I have been involved in litigations for the past year, with multiple attempts to regain joint custody of my son with me being the primary custodial parent. After a year long battle of heartache, turmoil, and financial burdens, I finally now have TJ back in my custody! When I tell you that God is an on time God is an understatement. A day to the year that I was ordered to give up custody of my son, custody was returned back to me. Through these trials and tribulations my Faith was tested, my patience was tested, and I often questioned God as to why did I have to go through this! I am understanding that God places people through storms so that we can tell his people that storms don’t last always, that God has something great on the other side, and that most of all HE IS REAL! My Faith in God along with my fiancé, family and close friends (family) have kept me going. I kept this matter close to me because I felt a sense of embarrassment and a sense of failure to my child. This case has been so financially draining being that it was a yearlong case. My lawyer fees are extremely high given that it went all the way to trial, despite multiple attempts to settle months ago. I am truly happy that I have my son back with me. As much as I don’t like to ask for anything and wish that I could keep this matter private. I am making a public plea for help to pay my lawyer fees that have exceeded over $35,000. I am asking that anyone who is willing to help in any way possible, any amount given will be greatly appreciated.
