UPDATE: AUGUST 2024
After a successful Kickstarter campaign to give us the funds we needed to get Production started, we opened this GoFundMe to, over time, raise funds to see our project through to completion.
THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us so far. We continue to be humbled and inspired by the number of people who believe in this topic, and in us as filmmakers to bring this story to the audience that needs it most.
Now we're asking for your help one more time.
Our goal has shifted, from bringing this project to you in the form of a feature-length film, to now bringing this project to life as a docu-series, totally free, on YouTube.
So far as we can help it, this information should never live behind a paywall.
In total we have collected 23 interviews, across nine total states, including three of the country's Top 10 media markets.

In 2019, Aaron (Instagram) wanted to make a film exploring his own personal journey with Erectile Dysfunction, because he realized that he'd never seen anything of substance in public media about ED unless it was a commercial, or it was being made fun of. So he made a short documentary called "Let's Talk About It." Having suffered from ED for twenty years, since the age of 17, he wanted to make a film to get people talking about it.
BECAUSE NO ONE TALKS ABOUT IT.
He wanted to help take some of the stigma away from having ED, and also show other men who were suffering from it that they weren't alone.
Wanna watch that short documentary? You can! Starting right... NOW!
That film was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from filmmakers, sexual health professionals, and the academic community. It was introduced into the curriculum at the University of Florida in 2021, where Aaron guest lectures once a semester to ~200 undergrads about the Psychology of Human Sexuality, specifically pertaining to Erectile Dysfunction.
It was also met with a strong desire for even more information, not just about Erectile Dysfunction, but Male and Female Sexual Dysfunction of all types. And that's what we're doing with this project.
We're making "Sexual Dysfunction: A Love Story" as a docu-series because it tells the intimately personal stories of two young individuals:
- Aaron, suffering from ED since the age of 17.
- Pepper, Aaron's wife, suffering from a condition commonly called Primary Vaginismus, which presents as an involuntary contraction of the muscles in the vaginal walls that makes penetration of any kind (sexual, hygienic, gynecological) nearly -if not entirely- impossible. And extremely painful.
We're telling our stories, and we're bringing the voices of TOP names in Sexual Health/Medicine/Education to the screen. To date, we have interviewed:
- Dr. Irwin Goldstein - San Diego, CA - Sexual Medicine
- Sue Goldstein - San Diego, CA - Clinical Research Coord.
- Dr. Rachel Rubin - Washington, D.C. - Sexual Medicine
- Paul Nelson - NYC - MAZE Sexual Health
- Dr. Michael Werner - NYC - MAZE Sexual Health
- Dr. Bat Sheva Marcus - The Bronx, NY - Author
- Dr. Laurie Mintz - University of Florida - Author/Therapist
- Dr. Kambiz Tajkarimi - Washington, D.C. - Surgeon
- Ava Cadell, Ph.D, Ed.D - Malibu, CA
- Dr. Hernando Chaves, MFT, DHS - Beverly Hills, CA
- Dr. Jordan Rullo - Salt Lake City, UT - AASECT/Gottman
- Martha Kauppi - Madison, WI - Therapist/Teacher
- Dr. Patty Evans, LMHC - Tampa, FL
- Christine Lozano - Vermont - Certified Sex Therapist.
- Todd Johnson, LIC - Phoenix, AZ - Former Police Officer.
23 interviews in total.
Like we said: SEEMINGLY NO ONE TALKS ABOUT IT, including doctors and therapists, with whom we entrust our general health and happiness.
We could have used a series like this a LONG time ago to show us that what we're experiencing is common, and is treatable; that we're not alone, we're not broken, and that we CAN have a "normal" life.
