During the height of the global coronavirus pandemic, our dear friend, cousin, sister, daughter, mother, and wife Jessica Fuller Johnson, went to a doctor’s appointment after work following experiencing unusual symptoms. What she would learn next turned the Johnson Family’s world completely upside down! After previously supporting both her mother Sandra Carter and aunt Ladora Carter Holmes through their cancer journey’s, enjoying less than 1 year of marriage to her husband Mike, and while raising her teenage twins, Jessica was diagnosed with breast cancer! So far, she has endured a lifesaving major surgery to reduce further spread of the large tumors that were found. Additionally, she has started a very aggressive chemotherapy journey to reduce the likelihood of recurrence and will start long-term hormone therapy and undergo 2 future surgeries to further fight the cancer. All of this has occurred in a matter of a few months, during an already incredibly difficult time for everyone.
In addition to this devastating diagnosis, is the enormous expense that comes with numerous doctor visits, extended hospital stays, treatments, and surgeries. The financial stress caused by Jessica’s unforeseen medical emergency has been quite daunting for the entire family. Adding to that uncertainty, Jessica and Mike’s work industries are also facing unprecedented challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic. With that in mind, our goal is to aim high and raise funds to lessen the great financial impact they are facing. This will allow every ounce of their thought and energy to go toward Jessica’s treatment and fight against breast cancer.
The Johnson Family is extremely grateful for, and humbled by, the support of friendship and prayer that they are already receiving from friends and family alike. We do not want Jessica and her family to withstand this financial burden alone, so we are reaching out on their behalf, with all money collected going directly to support Jessica’s battle and sustain the family during this difficult time.
