I am Amna Marwan, 32 years old, I live in Gaza, married and a mother of three children. We have lived through many wars, but this war is stronger than ever. I live this war with my young children, Ahmed, 8 years old, Adam, 6 years old, and Ayla, 4 years old
Ahmed, 8 years old, in the second year of primary school at the beginning of the war
He was one of the outstanding students in his class and was applying for scientific competitions at the regional level. He lost an entire academic year because of the war.
Adam is 6 years old in kindergarten. He has already started learning to read and write, but he did not finish it until a month after the beginning of the school year. We stopped doing that.
Ayla, 4 years old, has not yet begun her childhood and has not lived through childhood days. She lives in fear of the sounds of planes and missiles.
My children did not enjoy their childhood here. They lost their childhood, their rights to education and play, and even their right to treatment.
We cannot provide them with safety
We live here in the southern region of the Gaza Strip, Rafah. Which is under the threat of occupation and a ground military operation
I cannot think how I will protect my children from this danger
I cannot provide security for my children. They are terrified when they hear warplanes and when they hear the sounds of missiles and the destruction of homes.
My family's home in the northern Gaza Strip was destroyed and we lost everything we owned there
We have lost many close ones, victims of this aggression. We have been exposed to a lot of trauma and loss
I don't know if I will be able to save my children's lives before time runs out
We face the threat of missiles and we also face the risk of spreading diseases and epidemics in the region due to lack of prevention and lack of treatment
Diseases such as hepatitis and skin diseases have spread, and we are exposed to the risk of contracting them due to the lack of prevention and appropriate treatments.
We tried to travel through the only crossing in the Gaza Strip. Rafah land crossing..
Unfortunately, the crossing is closed to civilians and we need to pay money to exit through the crossing
An amount of $8,000 is required for each person to exit through the crossing
I need $40,000 right now to get through the Rafah land crossing safely
Knowing that the coordination company is constantly raising the amount
I hope that I can raise the required amount and, with your help, I can move and keep my children away from the fear and panic that we live in.
