Gibson's Devastating Housefire

Donation protected

Hello, my name is Tanya Gibson.
As some of you know, Sis and Jim's beloved Florida home was lost to a tragic fire on April 15, 2023. We are incredibly grateful that Brad, Sis and Jim were able to get out safely. The house and their vehicle appear to be a total loss.

Those of you who know this amazing, generous couple and their loving family are aware of the difficult year preceding this tragedy. In March of 2022 Jim, a proud Marine Vietnam veteran was diagnosed with cancer. He bravely navigated treatment that was unfortunately unsuccessful. At the time of the fire, Jim was receiving hospice care at home. Throughout the past year, their sons Brad, Tom and Jim were traveling from their homes in Illinois to help Sis and Jim during cancer treatment and hospice care.

The road ahead is extremely challenging and and we need your help. We are bringing Jim and Sis to Illinois to be closer to family. Moving Jim while on hospice, replacing all of the items needed for his care and finding housing to accommodate his current circumstances is a struggle.

We are racing against the time he has left and want him to be as comfortable as possible during this transition.

So many of you have asked us how you can help and we are so thankful for your kindness during this difficult time.
