Giddings-Callaghan House Fire Fundraiser

On August 19th my dad Brett Giddings and his partner Kim Callaghan tragically lost their home in a house fire.

The fire began in the garage and jumped to their house while they were asleep. They woke up to a bright orange glow and could only grab a few things before it took over the house. While they are incredibly appreciative for the items the fire department was able to rescue for them, the overwhelming majority of their belongings have been damaged by fire, heat, smoke or water. The house took a great deal of fire damage and is unlivable. The garage along with their cars and everything inside burned to the ground.

My family has a long road ahead of them and we are all still in shock. As they wait for the adjuster, they face the challenge of making many tough decisions along with securing temporary housing and vehicles. There is much to do and this process is slow moving as some of you know. This time of limbo brings its own financial strain on them.

Funds from this account will go toward assisting them during this stressful time as they rebuild their home life. They will go towards transportation and housing while waiting for insurances to kick in. They also need to secure storage for the things that can be salvaged from the fire. Thank you for your generosity and support, no matter how small, will help make life a little easier for them.
