Gift homes to families living in poverty in Bangladesh ❤️
Donation protected
This Ramadan, British Muslim charity campaigner Milad Sarwar, founder of Nessa’s Trust, is taking on his toughest challenge yet. Every single day, while fasting with no food or water, he will run 5KM to raise funds for families in Bangladesh who have lost everything. If the challenge becomes too easy, he is prepared to push himself even further, increasing the distance to 10KM to maximise the impact of this fundraiser.
The main goal of this campaign is to build safe homes for families living in extreme poverty. In Bangladesh, thousands of families are forced to live in unstable, flood-damaged homes, with no protection from the elements. Many have nowhere to go, surviving in makeshift shelters that collapse in heavy rain, leaving them even more vulnerable.
We have all seen the devastation that floods and poverty bring to Bangladesh, and while we have a roof over our heads, many families don’t have that basic human right. Through this fundraiser, we will build secure homes for those who need them most—giving them a place of safety, dignity, and stability.
The funds raised will go directly towards constructing strong, flood-resistant homes, providing families with shelter that will protect them from the harsh weather conditions they face every year. These homes will not only give them a place to sleep, but also a foundation to rebuild their lives, ensuring they are no longer left exposed to the elements. For many of us, having a safe home is something we never have to think about. But for thousands in Bangladesh, it’s a daily struggle. Imagine breaking your fast, only to sleep on a wet floor, with no walls to protect you. Imagine watching your children shiver in the cold because you have no roof over their heads.
All donations will be sent to our project manager, Mamanur Rahman, who will oversee and manage the construction of these homes to ensure every penny is used to support those who need it most. This project is about more than just providing shelter; it’s about restoring hope and security to families who have lost everything.
Milad is running every day this Ramadan so that families in need can have the security of a home. But he can’t do it alone. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Please donate and help change a life. If you’re unable to give, sharing this fundraiser could help reach someone who can.
Donate now and be part of something life-changing.
