Gigi wants to kick that walker to the curb

Hi I’m Gigi’s sister, Nina. A couple of months ago she went from a vibrant beautiful woman, very fit and energetic to a woman who can’t move without some level of pain, and must use a walker to get around. She needs her right hip replaced. When the doctors did her MRI they saw she had a fracture as well exacerbating the excruciating pain she feels. Some days her pain is minimal but most days it is not. She has worked her entire life and has medical insurance but unfortunately the medical plans of today leave much to be desired. They won’t do the operation without her meeting her deductible in full which after all her medical expenses this year is just under $2,000. The additional $1000 is for the 2 week period after surgery when she will be making $0 until she can start receiving the short term disability money through her lame insurance company. I know that times are tough for everyone financially these days and it is the worse time of year to ask, but I am asking. Unfortunately neither Gigi or I planned very well for our “winter years” which puts us where we’re at now. Any help you can give us very much appreciated. Thank you.
