Gigi’s Marathon Fundraiser for Sisters Network Inc
UPDATE: I am so happy to report that I reached my initial fundraising goal of $2020 in just 3 days and my stretch goal increase of $5000 in 10 days and hours before I ran myVirtual Boston Marathon! So I am ending this campaign but continuing in the fight against breast cancer by spreading the word about early detection and follow up. THANKYOU to my many supporters who helped me reach my goal.
My name is Gigi Metzger. On September 12, 2020, I will be running the Virtual Boston Marathon. In 2018, I qualified for this historic marathon 4 days before beginning treatment for aggressive breast cancer and after a year of treatment, I am cancer free!
Early detection and education was the key to my cure and survival. So I am dedicating this marathon in support of the Sisters Network Orlando Chapter Inc, who’s mission is to raise awareness of the devastating impact of breast cancer on African American women and to support these women who have been diagnosed.
