Gilbert Plains families of teens in fatal accident

Apr 3- Due to many requests, I have reopened the link. The amount of people who want to support the families has been overwhelming. The families of Riley, Hanna, Chris, Lennie, and Alexandra will each be receiving an equal portion. The families have been contacted and have expressed their deepest gratitude to everyone helping to support them in this extremely difficult time.

Apr 1- I just wanted to update everyone-first of all thank you so much for everyone’s generous support. I had set this up quickly as I knew there would be an outpour of support from everyone connected to GP - those from near and far who want to help out. It says a lot about our community. The funds will be split evenly to each family. I have seen many other accounts set up but this one was meant to support every family of the children involved equally. Our community is sending much love to all the families ❤️

Mar 30- My name is Holly and I’m fundraising for the families of the teens involved in the fatal accident at Hwy 5 and 274. The news of this accident is absolutely devastating. Every parent’s worst nightmare. Growing up in small town Manitoba - blowing a stop sign is not uncommon. I grew up on this street, have seen many cars speeding by, and have had some near misses at this stop sign myself. At the very least I would like to raise some money for the families involved so they don’t have to bury their child and experience financial hardships. I would also like the community and high school to have access to mental health supports in dealing with this tragedy. The deaths of these kids will leave a lasting hole in the hearts of everyone in the community.
