Help Gina recover from hip replacement surgery

Our friend Gina has spent a good portion of the last decade taking care of her ailing brother, her father, and her mother.

While her father and brother have passed, her mother is still with us and needs constant care, which Gina has been providing full-time for the past four years.

Now the caregiver also needs caregiving.

As you may know, Gina has been a dancer all her life. This has put an enormous strain on her hips and she requires hip replacement surgery immediately. She has been putting it off to take care of her loved ones, but she cannot put it off anymore so it's scheduled for March 16, 2023.

This means Gina will be recovering for at least 4 to 6 weeks and will ALSO be unable to care for her mother at the same time. She needs to hire home health aides to help immediately after the surgery which will include overnight care since she will be immobile at first and then have limited movement for several weeks. At the same time, these aides will need to assist her mother who normally depends on Gina's attentive care. This kind of care for two people will be full-time for a week or two, followed by mostly daytime hours for another month, which will cost her thousands of dollars.

Gina has done so much to help so many people over the years and she was reluctant to even ask for help for this. But to us, her good friends, it’s obvious that she needs help paying for this enormous expense. Gina has been under so much stress for so long. We feel that this is just a small gesture to help ease her burden.
