Gina Marinucci's battle with Lyme
Donation protected
For those of you that don't already know our dear friend Gina was diagnosed with Chronic Lyme disease in May 2020. Gina spent 2 weeks in the hospital and has been on a long road to recovery since May. Since her diagnosis she has experienced Bells Palsy, chronic joint and muscle pain, inflamation, chronic fatigue, severe insomia, concentration and attention difficulties, brain fog, dizziness, tinnitus, anxiety and depression. This is just to name of the few challanges she has been faced with since May.
Gina ended up back in the hospital in October with complications and had her gallblader and appendix removed.
Some days are more painful than others for her and I just wanted to find a way to help her get through this time and helping her move towards healing with out the unneeded stress.
For anyone unfamiliar with Lyme disease, it is extremely difficult to treat once it becomes chronic. Because of the extensive and comprehensive treatments required , it is not all that rare for someone to with lyme to spend $100,000 or more to get well.
Treatments for Lyme are not covered by insurance and not affordable for the average person.
Gina has not been able to work and also lost job during covid and batteling Lyme.
She was on antibiotics for 8 months and has used all her resources in Charleston, WV while living with her mom for support and help while she fights to recover.
Gina has been able to get an appointment with Dr. Tony Smith in Coeur d'Alene , Idaho at LymeStop. She will travel there 2-4 times over the next 8 months for her treatments and follow care.
I would like to help Gina with the expenses to afford her the physical and mental well being while she fights this horrible disease and allow her to heal with out the stress.
All donations will go toward Gina's Lyme treatment in Idaho and travel expenses.
Thank you so very much in advance for anyone who is able to donate or share this page! Every little bit helps and is extremely appreciated.
