Gina Ralston

On November 25th, Gina was in her kitchen starting her day excited to have her family home to spend Sunday together.  That morning she fell to the floor in a seizure.  Her family comforted her during her seizure and called 911. She was transported to the hospital and after several tests it was discovered she had a tumor in her brain.  The following day she was in the operating room to remove the tumor.  A week later Gina and her family were given the devastating news that the tumor was cancerous. Gina was diagnosed with grade 2 astrocytoma.  The surgeons are confident that they were able to remove the tumor in Gina’s brain; however, the surgery left Gina unable to open her right eye and some loss of mobility on her left side.  She has had to learn how to walk again.  Gina was finally able to come home on December 21st.  (She came home in time to spend Christmas with her family.)  With physical therapy and time to heal, Gina has begun to open her right eye and is slowly gaining mobility.  She is happy to be back home with her family.  To date, Gina’s family have been her caregivers offering their encouragement, support and love.  She especially enjoys time with her grandbaby and her furry companions Charlie and Chole.  Gina is currently half way through her radiation treatments.  But that is not the end to her treatments, on the 22nd of February, she is to begin 32 weeks of chemotherapy.  There have been many offering their prayers and love and offering help to the family. Many have asked how they can help the Ralston family during this time in their lives.   Gina has been unable to work since her seizure.  The family has experienced medical expenses and other expenses to ensure that Gina is able to focus on her healing.  This GoFundMe site has been set up raise money for the Ralston family to assist them in this time of need to use towards Gina’s care.   Gina is very appreciative of everyone’s love and support and we continue to pray for her healing.  All money raised will be processed through this site and accessible only to the Ralston family.   Thank you for support of Gina and the Ralston family.
