Gina's Cancer Treatment & Recovery
Donation protected
My longtime girlfriend, Gina Robinson (fondly referred to as G by friends and family) was recently diagnosed with Endometrial cancer (stage 3C2 - high chance of recurrence) at the ripe age of 30 years old. She recently underwent surgery at Virginia Hospital Center to remove all of her reproductive organs, which included swollen lymph nodes that were tightly wound in nerve cells. During the surgery, one of the nerves leading to Gina's leg was damaged making walking difficult. On top of that, she has incurred some additional negative side effects from the surgery and has been dealing with a number of ailments and an inability to keep food down for the last week.
Gina has undergone some serious emotional and physical trauma up to this point and still has a long road ahead of her with an aggressive chemo and radiation treatment scheduled (18+ weeks) on top of physical therapy for her leg.
Gina is one of the sweetest and kindest people I know, who for as long as I have known her, has always puts others first. It has been absolutely devastating for all of those close to her and I am determined to do whatever I can to help her and her family get through this. Her parents will be financially burdened by the medical bills and living expenses associated with her recovery, so any level of donations will go a long way.
The treatment and recovery is very expensive and not all of it will covered by insurance. The fund is to help Gina and her family in this time of need and will be primarily used for medical/living expenses and long term rehabilitation towards full recovery. Maybe even for a celebratory vacation after beating this cancer!
Thank you for your donations and thoughts.
