Help Gina keep her home during cancer treatment
Donation protected
****UPDATE****
First off, I truly appreciate each and everyone that has donated to help Gina and her beautiful family! I know this is a difficult financial time of year with the holidays, but I would not be posting this if time wasn’t a critical factor. Gina is starting chemo treatments this week, and as the sole provider for her family, she is trying to figure out how to work to support her family, keep a roof over their head and food on the table, all while receiving weekly chemo, when she really needs to be home to let her body heal between the chemo sessions that she will be receiving.
If you can help, with any amount, it would be truly appreciated! Please feel to share this link however you wish. Thank you in advance for any and all help that you may offer
My name is Nora Haynes and I have created this fundraiser for one of the most selfless person I know! My heart is breaking for Gina and her beautiful family and if anyone deserves some support/assistance, it is most definitely Gina. She won’t ask for help herself, so with her permission… I am asking on her behalf as she literally fights for her life and to be able to watch her kids grow ❤️ below is her battle that she is going to keep fighting!
I am an ICU nurse, and like all of you, we care for others while putting our needs in the far far background . On 11/6 while at work, my legs stopped working as I was pushing a pt in the hospital bed. I felt a pop in my back and suddenly I couldn’t feel my legs and then I had this wet/hot feeling down my leg. My coworkers rushed me to the ER where they did a CT scan and saw a lytic lesion. They immediately took me for an MRI, and shortly after the MRI, the ER doc told me I had a lesion that looked cancerous. I told them in 2019 I had invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer, but I had a double mastectomy, and had been what I thought was clear of disease for OVER 4 years. Well on 11/7 they told me I have metastatic breast cancer stage 4. I also have a lesion under my left armpit which is still being biopsied. My life and my whole world is upside down I am the sole provider, and my children are my world, my absolute everything. With it being the holiday season, I don’t expect people to give during their time of need, as this is the time for appreciation and love. I have such anger, frustration and sadness for this diagnosis. We, as nurses are hard to take down. But I’m terrified that this diagnosis of stage 4 cancer has this one. I fought and beat cancer once and I will not give up fighting this time, I just worry that my beautiful boys won’t have the Christmas they deserve as I spend the next few months out of work and getting treatment.
