Ginet needs a Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
UPDATE 11/19/2020
Ginet desperately needs your help!
Hello everybody, the news of my matching donor has come positive and with it the need for help to push the campaign to accomplish the goal to cover the expenses of my kidney transplant.
My battle with Kidney Failure has come to a critical point, the time for my kidney transplant is coming soon.
I'm asking my friends and family to join me in this fundraising campaign to help with critical expenses I will be facing immediately after surgery. Even though I have health insurance, many expenses are not covered. These expenses include the cost of accommodation near the transplant center, costs of post-op care, helping my brother with travel expenses to donate, and my antirejection medications.
I've been getting ready for this next step over the past few months and now I need your help for the second step of my process.
How can you help?
By donating or spreading the word between your friends and family!
Donations to the Ginet needs a kidney transplant campaign will help ease the financial burden of a transplant and allow me to focus on a healthy recovery and a long and healthy life.
Every bit counts and I’m sure together we can reach this goal.
I want to thank you in advance for taking the time to read this update and for looking out for me!
God bless you and again, thank you!

Read my story bellow:
My name is Ginet, I'm 30 years old and I'm living with end-stage chronic kidney disease. Currently, I'm on daily dialysis treatments and also getting ready to start testing for a kidney transplant.
My journey started on April 4th, 2020, when blood work revealed that I had CKD end-stage, my kidney function was at 13% at that time. And it was very late to proceed with any other treatment other than dialysis and a transplant in the future.
Only 3 weeks from being diagnosed with CKD, I had peritoneal catheter placement surgery, which I am currently recovering from. At the same time, due to the continued decline of my kidney function (now 8%); I am receiving an urgent start on dialysis, which is very painful because my body hasn’t quite recovered from surgery yet. All of these efforts to keep me stable have unfortunately kept my fiancé and me from work for weeks at a time.
My everyday routine has changed tremendously since I need a lot of help getting around while I recover and get the hang of dialysis. My situation is also affecting my fiancé since she's taking unpaid time off from work to care for me. We don't have any family close to be able to support us in this time of crisis. Even though I am insured we are having a hard time covering our bills and paying out of pocket fees needed to continue treatment. We need help to make ends meet in order to continue fighting for my health.
Soon, once my blood values have stabilized and everything is within a better range, we will start tests and treatments to get my body ready for a potential kidney transplant. HOWEVER, my family who would like to start getting tested to donate will also need my financial help to cover for travel, medical cost, and time off work cost.
The reason we are starting this GO FUND ME is to find help paying the medical bills I have accumulated, start testing my family in their countries of residency, as well as start putting money into our transplant piggy bank.
If money is not something you can donate, please consider helping me by promoting this fundraising initiative and sharing it with your family and friends. ANY amount is greatly appreciated.

I want to say thank you in advance for helping me keep going with my life and sharing my journey. Your help is pushing me to keep having a positive outlook towards the future. Today is my turn, but you will never know when it will be your turn to ask for help. A month ago, I was a regular girl complaining about feeling “ tired” and now I'm on the line for a kidney transplant and going through dialysis. We never think it will be us, but it happens and we have to stay strong and ask for help.
THANK YOU!
