Ginger's Amputation Surgery
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ginny, and pictured here is my sweet kitty Ginger. This is a step outside my comfort zone asking for donations as it is something I never saw myself doing. I am typically not one to ask for help. However, my children and friends encouraged me to set up this GoFundMe for my mini-me Ginger. I am raising funds to help pay for Ginger's amputation surgery and medical costs associated with diagnosis, lab work, treatment, and after-care of a completely severed tail.
As suggested by her name, Ginger is a 5-year old female orange tabby who found me and my family - likely a stray due to abandonment and not a feral cat. I took her to my Vet to find out if she was chipped as she had no collar or identifying tags. When we discovered that she was not chipped, we decided to bring her into our family and make her one of us and she happily accepted our invitation. As a backstory, we lost our 12-year old rescued Bull-Mastiff mix Bosco six months prior to multiple myeloma and here this little orange kitty started coming around in his birth month. Having Ginger find us was a little gift from Bosco from Heaven. It is important that we get the help that Ginger needs so that she can continue on with her legacy and place in the lives of my family. Ginger is young and has so much more life to live!!
The funds will be used to help us pay the medical costs for Ginger's diagnosis including X-rays and bloodwork, hospitalization including treatments and medications, surgery, and after-care. I will upload invoices/receipts with care costs as I get them.
Ginger has been a bright ray of sunshine in our lives after the loss of Bosco and is full of life. She is a Mighty Mouse who thinks she is Godzilla and she truly believes with her petite size that she can leap tall buildings in a single bound. I look forward to witnessing her next amazing feats after she recovers from her surgery to remove her tail and rediscovers her balance and agility without a tail.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, or in this case a tail! Your support means the world to me.
