Giovanni was an incredible son, the best brother, an obedient grandson, a life-long friend, the coolest nephew, a cousin, a brilliant student, and an exceptional human. You did not leave his presence without laughing.
He was a 14-year-old teenager that just started high school at Texas City High school. His first "physical" day in school was last Monday. He'd just gotten some new shoes just for the new school year.
Unfortunately, he didn't get the chance to break them in...
On September 20th 2020, around 10 pm Giovanni Cruz Torres was involved in an accident. An accident that ultimately resulted in the loss of his life. A beautiful life.
This tragedy has been a nightmare that me and my family have not been able to wake up from.
It does not seem real and we are all in disbelief.
I have created this GoFundMe with intentions of taking financial stress off of my mother, Giovanni's grandma and grand momma for associated costs of funeral services, memorial balloon release, and the costs that no one thinks about when losing a loved one.

If we are able to earn enough money, we are thinking of creating a scholarship or memorial of some type in his honor.
