Giovanni Sanchez “I am a Champion” Memorial Bench
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Sarae. I am Giovanni’s mother. I am brokenhearted to say that we were in a car accident while on our way to Michigan adventure last July and I lost my son. It has been a very traumatizing experience to say the least, and a lifetime of pain to endure. Not only for myself, but the rest of our family and Giovanni’s friends. Giovanni loved Baseball more than ANYTHING in this world, and he was an amazing ball player.
He loved his school the Waverly warriors and was a proud warrior from kindergarten all the way up. This was the most tragic accident that ever could be imagined. Giovanni spent quite a bit of time at the DEFY trampoline park as well where they knew him by first name basis, He was loved just like one of their own. He spent and less hours. Hanging out with his friends, visiting with the staff and playing video games while taking breaks chatting with the employees. They hold a special place in their hearts for Giovanni just as we all do.-and Giovanni was a very adventurous boy, who loved visiting Puerto Rico, and love going on trips with his brother mom and rest of our family-every year we went to Mackinac, which we will continue on Giovanni and his grandfather’s behalf, honoring them and remembering them. Gio loved spending time with his friends and his family, and he has missed very sorely! On behalf of his brother, Austyn and myself, we ask for any help from the community and friends & families to raise enough money to get him a bench at resting place. Austyn and I were left out of any decisions that were made on Giovanni’s behalf. so this is very important to us to be able to do and have a say in ! We would like to also donate two benches to the Waverly baseball program where Giovanni played all of his years growing up and he spent so much time there, even as a little one, watching his brother play on the same field .Lastly, we would like to donate a bench to his school along with a Tree /memorial plaque this fall. We would like to provide 2 banners with Giovanni‘s baseball picture 1) to the baseball program where it can hang for all to see during spring ball as well as fall ball- as well as 2) to DEFY trampoline park.
They said that they would be very happy and proud to hang Giovanni’s picture in their establishment as he was a fixture for many years.
If there is any money left over, it would be divided for the next upcoming years in June to the scholarship award banquet on Giovanni Sanchez behalf. I attended the school board meeting and they said that families who have lost warriors in the past have donated to the scholarship fund and every June when seniors graduate His Brother or myself will have an opportunity to go up and speak about Giovanni’s life and legacy and the impact he made on so many people in and around the community.Giovanni ALWAYS had a smile on his face and always happy to help out any one that needed a hand even the homeless man down the street. Gio dropped the man some food as well as a coat bearing winter one year-he offered to help the elderly at any time , it didn’t matter Giovanni was ALWAYS willing to help. Gio was the kid who made friends with a new kids at school -who didn’t know anyone or being bullied Gio made friends with a FEW kids in those scenarios. He had a very kind heart , that’s a SURE thing.
We know that life is short here on earth and NOTHING more painful than losing your loved One unexpectedly or tragically- Period-
It has been unimaginably difficult on ALL of our family , and all of his friends, teachers, classmates coaches and teammates alike. We would like Giovanni TO BE REMEMBERED ALWAYS AS the WONDERFUL BOY HE WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE , whose life ended way too soon, It is very hurtful to have to write this he was and always will be the baby of our family.
He is FOREVER Our SHINING STAR , and he will ALWAYS be our CHAMPION. -He will ALWAYS be a WARRIOR -there are NO WORDS to describe the everlasting pain and Emptiness his void has left.-
I would like everyone to know that this fundraiser is NOT for our family. Also that there was a fundraiser previously put on, but we had no affiliation with that as it was his father side.-
Please consider donating whatever you can and Giovanni’s behalf so that we can get him the memorial bench so that whoever wants to go and visit will have a place to sit and talk to him. It would mean the most if we could first and foremost get his bench paid for so it can be ordered!
The rest of the desires will come after, but this is our goal, and these are our hopes and wishes. Thank you ALL for being part of Giovanni’s life and hopefully help contribute to his memorial.
Our life here on earth is short, no matter if you leave this earth as a baby, a teenager or young adult, or an elderly -it goes by so fast . but forever we’ll live in eternity, where we hope, we will all be reunited together, one day until then, please help us make our vision come true, and give Giovanni the honor and remembrance that he deserves to all of the places that he loved to spend his time at. We appreciate any and all support moving forward. Sincerely Sarae & Austyn and the rest of the Daggett family.
Giovanni’s light will live on forever through the hearts of his friends family and loved ones. Please be kind. It doesn’t cost a thing that is an everlasting quality he carried as well as his smile that could light up a room , & the charm like no other-GIOVANNI YOUR FOREVER MISSED and LOVED BY ALL!! TOGETHER We WILL Make this VISION COME TRUE❤️❤️
