Gippsland Wildlife Fire Relief

Donation protected
Australia is experiencing unprecedented bushfires. The impact on native wildlife is beyond comprehension. It has been estimated that so far, well over 500 million native animals have been affected in Australia this fire season. However, volunteer wildlife carers and shelters are doing all they can to help the animals they are able to access.

We are working to raise much-needed funds for shelters and carers in the Gippsland area to put towards fire-relief.  The money raised will go towards veterinary supplies, food,  transportation and all associated costs for rescuing and treating native animals.

The Bass Coast/Sth Gippsland Wildlife Rescue & Shelter has been caring for wildlife for over 15 years and is ran by a local carer, Sue Moore. The money we raise will be distributed by Bass Coast/Sth Gippsland Wildlife Rescue & Shelter Inc to the shelters and carers assisting throughout the Gippsland area. Currently, we are raising the money for the animals affected in the East Gippsland fires. However, your donation could go on to support shelters and carers with fire-relief in wider Gippsland.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any amount you can give. Please share with friends and family.

UPDATE! 7 January 2020

Thank you to all that have donated so far. We want to ensure that your money is used in the best way possible. To do this Bass Coast/Sth Gippsland Wildlife Rescue & Shelter is communicating closely with carers and shelters in the fire affected areas to ensure they can tell us exactly what they need and when. Today carers in East Gippsland  have asked for assistance to pay for fuel. This will enable them to rescue and transport wildlife, transport wildlife food, distribute water for wildlife in the fire affected areas and run their generators and pumps at the shelters. $1000 of fuel vouchers have been organised today by Bass Coast/Sth Gippsland Wildlife Rescue & Shelter. They also asked for specific animal feeding equipment (bottle teats for little mouths) which have also been sent today.
