The 2024 tennis season is upon us. Because of ALL OF YOU, our girls were able to have an amazing first season. And because of the hard work and effort of these young ladies and the support of their community behind them… tennis has grown into a wonderful and rewarding new option for women’s’ sports at Girard High School. We have gone from 10 players to 20 plus!❤️
We are a completely self-funded program. Both myself and Coach Brookhart are volunteers. The Girard City School District is extremely supportive of our mission and assists with bussing to away matches and snacks and beverages for away matches. We anticipate this being our final season as a club sport, and look forward to being a varsity sport next season.
That being said…I am coming to you once again for your generosity. Because something great here has been started and we have to see it through. I know we are living in unprecedented times with challenges for us all. Any amount will help.
Some of the things your money will go towards are:
Uniforms, apparel, swag, etc.
Tennis court rentals.
Tennis balls, equipment, training tools.
Racquets for those in need.
Clinics put on by actual tennis pros.
Safety equip., water bottles/coolers, etc.
Food and beverage at certain times.
Team dinners, Award ceremony, etc.
Senior banners.
