Girl Guides Zimbabwe - Annual WAGGGS Fees

Help the Girl Guide Association of Zimbabwe pay their WAGGGS fees
The Girl Guide Association in Zimbabwe is struggling financially. Despite having a large membership base of paying guides, the skyrocketing inflation rate in Zimbabwe makes it very difficult to cover the international World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) membership fees for 2020.
The 2020 membership fee is £1,419 and the association is currently in arrears of £1,746, bringing the total currently owed to £3,165. Whilst the Girl Guides Association of Zimbabwe is currently doing all it can to raise the money locally, the reality of the constantly fluctuating exchange rates between the local RGTS and USD currencies, as well as the practical difficulties involved in sending money out of the country means that they require external assistance.
My time as a Brownie and then a Girl Guide in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe gave me so much that I didn’t get at school or from any other source growing up. I learnt life skills and formed life-long friendships and want that to be available to other young girls in Zimbabwe, regardless of how much their parents earn.
If you are involved with Guiding in the UK, or were a Guide in Zimbabwe, please consider donating any amount, large or small, to help the association. Any funds donated will be paid in full to WAGGGS by bank transfer.
