Help Girl sans Fish Reach Film Festivals

Hello! My name is Julia DeSantis, the writer, director, and producer of Girl sans Fish. This semi-absurdist drama short film questions levels of love and loss in the period in your life when your just getting the hang of being on your own.

This piece is near and dear to my heart, both in content and as a representation of all the hard work I and the crew have put into learning the art of filmmaking as we graduate from Boston University.

For those of you who know me, you know I have always looked forward to the moment when I could look at a film I made and say I genuinely love it, not just for what it was as a school exercise, not only if I had a big studio budget to carry it through, just simply as it is. I believe this is that film for me, and I hope to get it out into the world as the first stepping stone in my career. But entering films into festivals is costly. That's where you come in!

Any donation would mean the world to me in helping me gain exposure for this film. Additionally, several costs went into making this film including set dressing design materials, transportation, meals for cast and crew, hard drives, media cards and equipment rentals. Even with a micro budget, putting up the funds for this project was a heavy investment made in hopes we might crowdfund some of it back. In that way, your support would be bringing this film to life.
