Chester Nomads Zebras U11 girl's football team

Hi, I’m Andy, the head coach of a girl’s football team in Cheshire – the Chester Nomads Zebras under 11s.

We are so lucky to have 13 committed girls in our squad who try their best every time they step onto the pitch - in the blazing sunshine, freezing cold, wind or pouring rain!

They train hard, play to win, work together and have a brilliant time along the way. Their ongoing growth and development is fantastic to see and both parents and coaches are so proud of them and can’t wait to see their journey continue.

They are currently in their first season in a boy's league and have had a really strong start to the season, with some hard-fought victories and strong performances.

We have really struggled to get any sponsorship since the team was formed. They've had to play in second hand kits and use second hand equipment when the older boy's teams have finished with them.

The girls have already held their own fundraising event - a sponsored walk (up a mountain, in Halloween fancy dress, on a very windy day!) and the money raised was used to buy waterproof training jackets, kits and training equipment.

Our fundraising continues, as it is necessary just to make sure that they can continue to do what they love.

We have created an amazing opportunity for the girls....

In October 2024, they have the chance to travel to Madrid, where they would have coaching sessions with youth team coaches from both Real and Atletico Madrid, tours of both stadiums and games against local opposition.

We would LOVE for the whole squad to go on this trip and we're sure it would be both educational and inspiring for them.

As you can imagine, there are significant costs involved in something like this and the only way that most of the girls would be able to attend is if we raise money through donations and sponsorship.

We would be so grateful if you were able to offer some support to our amazing squad to help them to continue their football journeys.
