Girls in the Boat - Beaumaris RNLI Crew
2024 marks the RNLI's 200th anniversary, and we're eager to honour their incredible legacy. As devoted female volunteers from Beaumaris RNLI station, we're gearing up for an epic challenge: rowing a Celtic Longboat in the Great River Race on September 21, 2024. Covering a gruelling 21.6 miles from Millwall to Richard, it's no small feat.
Rowing demands unparalleled physical and mental strength. Despite being newcomers to the sport, we're diving headfirst into this daunting task. For around 3 hours, we'll be pushing ourselves to the limit, united as One Crew, striving to cross that finish line.
The RNLI's dedication to 24-hour search and rescue across the UK and Ireland, alongside their lifeguarding and safety initiatives, saves countless lives. But it all relies on public support. That's where you come in.
Our goal of £7,325 symbolises a ten pence for every day the RNLI crews have stood ready to save lives. Will you join us in this vital mission? Every donation brings us closer to our target and helps ensure the RNLI can continue their lifesaving work. Your generosity could make all the difference. Let's make waves together!
