First-ever Girls' Garage
Donation protected
Hi there! Thank you for visiting my campaign for Girls’ Garage - the first-ever female-focused space in the history of the LA Auto Show!
ABOUT ME
My name is Jessica, also known as Jessicann on YouTube.
I started Jessicann to inspire and empower women to tackle the things we tend to shy away from like fixing cars.
I have tutorials on how to change your spark plugs , how to check your tire pressure , how to change your oil, and much more. When it comes to fixing my car, I CAN, and I want to show other women that they CAN too.
WHAT IS GIRLS’ GARAGE?
To take my mission of inspiring women to work on their cars even further…I am hosting the first-ever female-focused space at the LA Auto Show this November 18th-27th called Girls’ Garage.
Girls’ Garage will be a space for women to meet, collaborate, and learn about cars.
With the LA Auto Show less than a month away, I am turning to all of you to help bring Girls’ Garage to life. Help make history with me in creating this first-of-its-kind space for women.
HOW CAN I HELP?
With your help, I can accomplish the following for Girls’ Garage:
$1,000 - Event Insurance
$1,000 - Tools + Equipment
$1,500 - A/V + Electricity
$2,000 - Girls’ Garage Sign + Printed Materials
$2,000 - Furniture + Decor
$2,500 - Misc Costs (UHaul, Shipping, Labor)
Total: $10,000
WHY DOES IT MATTER?
The LA Auto Show has been around for almost a century, and just last year, 47% of the hundreds of thousands of attendees were women.
Which makes total sense if you consider that…
51% of driver’s license holders are women
60% of new cars are purchased by women
65% of car repair customers are women
and a whopping 80% of car buying decisions are influenced by women.
Yet…there has never been a dedicated space for women like Girls’ Garage…until now.
WHAT'S THE VISION FOR GIRLS’ GARAGE?
We’ll have engaging demos to educate women on simple routine maintenance, and a space for women to mingle and share their stories. It is through this collaboration and sense of community that we can overcome our fears when it comes to car repair.
So please help me transform the 1,100 square foot space at the LA Auto Show into an amazing garage where women can feel inspired and empowered to learn about cars. I need your help to make Girls’ Garage a success in its first year.
Absolutely any amount will help.
Thank you SO much for believing in my mission and supporting women working on cars!
