After School Kendo Club

What's the Story? I, Scott Forest Pulsipher, will be "Changing Tomorrow Through the Youth of Today!" And I will do this by sharing the wonderous fulfillment that Kendo and Iaido has given me throughout my life and sharing that with the youth in my community. I cannot help but share the Marvel that awaits those that have yet to do Cut Testing, attend a Taikai or other tournaments. It is simply one of the most rewarding, HUMBLING feelings I have ever had the Honor of experiencing. There is a number of arts and crafts that are also incorporated into my program, in addition to a book club where we read, write and discuss the philosophies of many titles including ones from Miyamoto Musashi, and even Bruce Lee. This is an after school program that is designed to strengthen the relationships between themselves and their peers, their teachers, parents, siblings, and the community.
Skattosan starts a Fundraiser for a new After School Program for Georgetown ISD. For ASAP's after school program, as well as the Boy's and Girl's Club, in addition to potentially local Park and Recreation sites and locations. Things that the funds would be going towards are as follows:
-Kendo Bogu or "Armor" (300-400 dollars per set, Need Four, One per Jr High)
-Shinai (Bamboo Sword(s)- 25-50.oo/per sword. Need Numerous on hand for small to large class sizes and locations [4 locations, with a potential of 5-30 students starting sizes]).
-Crafting Materials (A wide variety of sewing, cross stitch, friendship bracelet thread, yards of cloth, and other sewing and crafting materials used directly with each student). (We will be making our own Shinai Bag's, Obi Belts, Tenugui headband/wraps/sweatbands, among other things with these materials)
-Sewing Machine: Could also use another 1-2 Sewing Machines which would allow me to have a better "Rotation" of "Stations" for the students to perform specific tasks at during crafting times.
-Books: (I have a small to large list of books that I would LOVE to have ON-Hand for each school, for the students to check out from the program to use in our Book Club).
-Free Monthly Membership Scholarships to be awarded from me to the school, for the school or ASAP/Boy's & Girl's Club programs to select a student to sponsor for One Month Free. (usable as frequently as we have sponsors, Seeking Four Initial Sponsors which would provide one free months training per school or site location).
-Kendo Gi (Uniforms)
-Hakama Pants (Uniform Pants)
-Iaito Swords (wooden with sheath/saya)
