Giselle Field Memorial Fund
On Wednesday, July 14th, family members and friends of Giselle Field received the gut wrenching news that their daughter, wife, sister, cousin, and friend had tragically passed away due to a climbing accident in Peru.
This is the worst thing imaginable and anyone that got the chance to meet Giselle had their lives touched by her adventurous, kind, and loving soul. Giselle made relationships a priority for her life whether it be family, friends, the climbing community, clients, and even acquaintances.
Giselle's bright smile and sweet dimples lit up every conversation and interaction. Her presence was always treasured. The void that we will all feel with out her here is devastating.
As upset and shocked as her family is, everyone knows that she was doing what she loved to do. We even found a recent Instagram post of hers sharing how climbing, despite knowing the risks and fears, is what makes her the happiest. Particularly climbing with her husband Derek. Derek was with her in Peru, he is now safe and has returned home.
We've created this GoFund Me page due to the overwhelming outpour of support and love from her clients, family, friends, and local community. Thank you all for your desire to love the Fernandez and Field family during what will be the hardest thing that they will have to live through.
Any funds donated will go directly to help assist with funeral costs. Anything remaining will be donated to a charity that was close to Giselle. We are currently looking into charities that Giselle was apart of and will keep all of you in the loop what one was decided and how much was donated in her honor.
