Give a farewell gift to Milkman Mick
Donation protected
For more than forty years, Milkman Mick Tutton MBE has served the community of St Albans, working through the night in all weathers to deliver milk, eggs and other groceries to many streets in the city.
But Mick has been so much more than our milkman. In all that time he has been our unofficial security guard, social worker, football pundit and cheerleader.
Children (and dogs) have grown up knowing and loving him and he has become a family friend to many of us. On top of all this, Mick has run in the St Albans half marathon for many years, raising thousands of pounds for charity, for which he was awarded an MBE, which he proudly accepted in his usual modest way.
Sadly, Mick’s milk float has now broken down and cannot be repaired, so he is unable to continue his round. As a small token of our love for him, many of his customers want to raise a lump sum to present to him as a leaving gift this spring. If you would like to make a contribution - however big or small - please continue to the donation page.
Please note: all monies collected will be saved in a private bank account, as we would like this to remain a secret from Mick until we present it to him.
