Meet Olivier, a young man who fled the war-torn lands of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the tender age of 14, seeking refuge and safety in a distant land. For years, he found solace in the refugee camps of Uganda, where the harsh realities of life tested his spirit but could not dampen his resolve.
In the midst of uncertainty, fate intervened, and Olivier crossed paths with a radiant soul that would forever change his life. Her name was Valentine, a beauty whose warmth and kindness shone brighter than the sun. Despite the odds stacked against them – differing backgrounds, uncertain futures – love blossomed between Olivier and Valentine, casting a beacon of light in the darkness of their circumstances. Now, they dream of a fresh start in America!
But their journey needs your support. Through the WelcomeCorps program, the Harambee group has agreed to sponsor Olivier and Valentine and aim to raise $4850 for the resettlement costs. The Harambee group is made of five community volunteers (all successful immigrants themselves) with a profound sense of gratitude and compassion. Inspired by Olivier and Valentine's story of love and resilience, the Harambee group extends a helping hand, offering them the support they need to start anew in America..
Your contribution to their GoFundMe campaign will not only provide Olivier and Valentine with the means to start anew, but will also affirm the power of compassion and solidarity in changing lives.
Please join the Harambee group in turning Olivier team Valentine's dream into a reality. Let's make love conquer all, as we help Olivier and Valentine build their future in a welcoming America.
