From Tragic Loss to Hope: Support My Journey Forward
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Alaa Shurrab, a humanitarian worker for the last 14 years, I am the mother of Mariam (12, aspires to be a surgeon), Homam(10, the creative architect to be), Noran (8, the most articulated journalist) and Hesham (6, the future astronaut) and the wife of Saleem.
We were a happy small family filled with love, laughter, and opportunities, until the revent unfortunate and devastating events unfolded in Gaza changing our lives for ever. Our home, dreams, and future all got buried under the rubble but we are grateful that we remain alive, barely.
Now, we are displaced, cold, and terrified. We are trying to get out of Gaza to start the next chapter in Canada, where we will study and grow, and my children will have the opportunity to fulfil their potential in a safe environment. We will also seek therapy and try to heal from all the horrors we experienced.
The money will help us pay the only coordination company that can help us cross the borders to Egypt in these dire situation as the cost of each individual is more than 5000$ which makes the move extremely hard and expensive but we have no other choice, each minute passes is like playing the Russian roulette, if this bomb missed us the next one might not. We live in danger and fear.
So here I am asking your support to help give us a chance to live and escape this madness and take our children to safety.
Our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who will support saving our lives and our children.
