Right now many pork producers are struggling across the United States. The main reason is because the pigs that should be marketed right now cannot be due to processing plants being closed because of
COVID-19.  Everyday you hear about more plant
closures and farmers left with tough decisions to make about what to do with their pigs. 

On the flip side, you also hear about the increased number of Americans filing for unemployment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This has caused long lines at soup kitchens and food banks as families are struggling to put food on the table. 

You may ask what this fundraiser is all about and what I’m trying to accomplish here. I decided to start this GoFundMe page to raise money in order to purchase pigs from farmers most directly affected, primarily in the midwest. The pigs will then be sent to local meat lockers and butcher shops to be processed and donated to families in need. 

Please give anything you can. American farmers are the backbone of this country and they need help now more than ever.  Thanks & God Bless!
