Abigale’s Story:

Abigale was just one of 65 cats and kittens rescued from the Gordon Heights area. They were not being fed and were living in the back of an abandoned house in deplorable conditions. Upon first evaluation of Abigale, it was thought she had a cleft lip. After her recent consultation with Dr. Carmichael at VMCLI, he and Dr. Carver concluded this is not a clef lip, but rather trauma that occurred as a tiny kitten. Something ripped her nose and lip separating it from the other side of her face. As she has grown, it has become difficult for her to eat and breathe. She will require surgery to correct this. The cost of surgery alone will be $5,000. .. this does not include any follow-up visit and or treatment if needed. Abigale is a sweet, very playful 15 week old kitten, she is full of life! She is currently in foster care and we would love to find her the purr-fect home once she has recovered. Please help Abigale if you can, every dollar helps.
