Help Alaa and Her Family Survive Gaza

Hi all

My name is Alaa, and I am reaching out for your help during one of the most difficult times in my family’s life. I have a beautiful family of six: my husband Abdulhadi, who is 45 and suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes; our four children, Ammar (14), Hussein (12), Noor (9), and Sham (3); and myself, Alaa, 33.

We used to live in a lovely apartment, filled with memories and joy. However, we lost everything during the war. We were forced to leave our home with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Since then, we have been displaced seven times, moving from one place to another, trying to find safety. Most recently, we settled in a tent in Khan Younis, but life here is incredibly tough.

Before all of this, I completed my master’s degree in 2015, and I was so proud of what we had built. But the war took not only our home but also the piece of land we owned, where we had a small house, an outdoor oven, and trees that provided for us. Everything was destroyed. Now, we struggle daily to provide even the basics for our children—food, clothing, water, and shelter are constant challenges.

We’ve been standing in long lines for water, walking great distances just to get food, and the harsh winter is making everything worse. My children have been out of school, and their safety is my biggest worry. Amidst all this, we lost five of our relatives.

We need your support to help us rebuild and get back on our feet. Every donation will go towards providing food, clothing, and shelter for my family, and helping my children return to school.

ساعدوا علاء وعائلتها على إعادة بناء حياتهم بعد الحرب والنزوح

اسمي علاء، وأناشدكم من أجل دعم عائلتي خلال أصعب الأوقات التي نمر بها. عائلتي مكونة من ستة أفراد: زوجي عبدالهادي، يبلغ من العمر 45 عامًا ويعاني من ضغط الدم والسكري، وأنا أعاني من خلع في الكتف نتيجة الولادة. لدينا أربعة أطفال: عمار (14 سنة)، حسين (12 سنة)، نور (9 سنوات)، وشام (3 سنوات).

كنا نعيش في شقة جميلة مليئة بالذكريات، ولكن للأسف فقدنا كل شيء بسبب الحرب. اضطررنا إلى مغادرة منزلنا دون أن نتمكن من أخذ أي شيء معنا. منذ ذلك الحين، لجأنا إلى خيمة في مركز إيواء في المنطقة الصناعية، وهناك تلقينا خبر فقدان 5 من أقاربنا.

كنا نمتلك قطعة أرض تحتوي على منزل صغير، وفرن الطابون، وأشجار كثيرة، لكن تم تدميرها بالكامل، ولم نتمكن من الوصول إليها. انتقلنا إلى رفح بحثًا عن الأمان، لكننا واجهنا ارتفاع الأسعار، مما جعل من الصعب علينا تأمين احتياجات أطفالنا من طعام وملابس. لاحقًا، تعرض المكان الذي لجأنا إليه في رفح للقصف، فاضطررنا للنزوح عدة مرات، وآخرها كان إلى خانيونس.

حاليًا نقيم في خيمة في خانيونس، والحياة هنا صعبة للغاية. نحتاج إلى المشي لمسافات طويلة والوقوف في طوابير للحصول على الماء والطعام، ويزداد الوضع سوءًا في الشتاء. أطفالنا محرومون من التعليم، ونحن نفتقد الأمان، مما يثير قلقي الشديد عليهم.
