Give Back to Lee Mein (Hip Replacement)

This Monday, March 6th 2023, my dad Lee Mein is booked in for a hip replacement surgery in Toronto. He has to pay out of pocket for this and it is $30,000. He would never ask for help, he will find ways to make it happen like he always has.

Here’s the thing. My dad has spent my entire life giving to the Canadian MMA community, his fighters and his gym. He is one of the most generous men I know.

He has given fighters thousands of hours of his time (almost always for free) to hold pads for them, to talk to them through their struggles, to pay for the gas and the hotels to take amateurs on the road so they can get experience. To put on fight cards and tournaments and take his fighters all over the place so they can compete. He is always more than willing to do this without expecting anything but thanks in return.

He has given so much to so many of you and I don’t think that he should have to sell everything he has or go into this much debt for a surgery that he truly really needs both to function in everyday life and in order to do his job.

I’m calling on our MMA/Jiu Jitsu community, his Canadian Martial Arts family and friends to please give back to this legend. To please consider a donation to the surgery cost (Im not asking for living costs/business costs or anything - just the cost of the surgery) in any amount so that he can get this surgery done and not have to also worry about how he is going to pay for this.

I want him to be able to get this surgery and for him to focus on his recovery and healing without having the pressures & stresses associated with the cost of this surgery.
