This is Lynn Girard’s Story of her life full of happiness, love and selflessness. This story is most certainly long... BUT PLEASE READ IT... it’s not very often you get to read about someone as wonderful as she. If you don’t want to read it all, please donate to her fund. Send your love and prayers, as she would do for you. She will never ask any of us for help, but she needs us, and she needs our help. Let’s repay her for everything she has done for us. Whether it be $1 or $1000... it doesn’t matter, It is a beautiful gift that will forever be appreciated because when you are in fear of losing everything you have worked for, fear of the result of the next CT scan, and fear of all the what ifs.... Every dollar counts. Lynn has spent her life searching for ways to help others in need. Raising money for Veterans, York County Fuel Fund, Scholarships, Thanksgiving food baskets for the less fortunate, TOYSFORTOTS, raising money for the Alfred Shelter... the list goes on.... She has dedicated her entire life helping others and Its time for everyone to help her...... GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

I am not sure where to start, or what to say. If any of you know me well- - - it’s not very often that happens, I always have something to say LOL. I’ll start with something that MANY people would agree with... Lynn Provencal Girard, is HANDS DOWN - one of the most positive, loving, happiest, strongest, hardworking woman I know. This incredible woman has never been seen without a smile on her face, always lifting spirits whenever she walks into a room. She is an exceptional, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is our “Aunt Lynn”, whom is actually our grandmother LOL. (It’s the secret laugh in our family) When we were young, she refused to be called Grammy at her age, so it has always been Aunt Lynn. I have never seen her mad or sad and never has she ever had anything negative to say about anyone or anything, she is just an angel to so many people.
I’m sure your wondering why I’m writing this.... September 2019 ---The Unexpected news came; Lynn has been diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma of the lung. It’s Unbelievable - - - Speechless.
As many of you are aware, Lynn is the proud owner of Maine Shoreline Realty, and is on the board of realtors. No doubt, she is one of THE BEST Realtors in Maine. Being a member of the board, she has dedicated 25+ years of her life to the industry and loves every bit of it! She is a great friend and loved by so many in the realtor family. She LOVES what she does and is damn good at it too.
Being Self Employed—Health Insurance is a constant stressor to most. Last year, Lynn had to give up her health insurance. If you didn’t already know, Health Insurance is OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. Understandably, the cost of health insurance was not affordable any longer.
Have you ever been to the doctor and had to BEG for JUST an antibiotic...? I have, and It is so frustrating when something tells you there is something wrong, but no one will listen. No one knows your body like you do. Lynn knows this struggle all too well- - - For the past year, despite having no insurance, Lynn has gone from doctor to doctor. She pled, begged and explained that something was seriously wrong, she even told them that she thinks she has cancer. She would demand answers and beg them not to let her leave until they found out what was wrong... because she knew her body, and something wasn’t right. Those doctors didn’t listen to her, until she wouldn’t leave without answers. In September of 2019, Lynn got the results. The same result that she already knew a year ago, deep inside her gut. I can’t begin to understand why the worst things happen to the most genuine, outstanding people in the world. But what I know for certain is that Lynn is undoubtedly the most selfless person I know and does not deserve this at all.
Her beauty shining bright, Lynn lived in silence for the past few months knowing the results. Even longer as she went from doctor to doctor....not letting her fears be seen by others. This just explains who Lynn is. As always—her selfless, unstoppable, fierce reflection shows in the mirror she stares. The woman in the mirror, would and will never ask for help or want others to worry for her. She takes pride in her accomplishments, that she has shed blood, sweat and tears to become the best she can be. She would never want her struggles to be seen. BECAUSE THAT IS WHO LYNN IS. She is strong, and she knows she can and will overcome any obstacle in her way, big or small,
Lynn always marches through with a smile.
But this time, I am going to ask everyone for her. Because If I don’t, she NEVER will, no matter how hard it gets. Therefore, it is so important for everyone to come together and help Lynn get through this stress-free. A gift card to the grocery store, gas, Walmart, PHARMACYS.... Anything you can help with. Donating to GoFundME: to help pay for the outrageous medical bills, medicines, gas, and personal care and expenses to keep her bills paid. Eliminating as much stress as possible, IS SO VITAL TO SUCESSFUL TREATMENT, Lets help her RELAX and focus on HER for once. Lynn has spent her entire life searching for ways to help GIVE to others. She has been apart of TOYSFORTOTS, for as long as I can remember, helping collect gifts for the less fortunate children for Christmas. She helps raise money and food; she does thanksgiving baskets with the Elks Club. She raises money for our veterans, for the York county fuel fund, scholarship funds as well as raising donations for the Alfred shelter. THE LIST JUST GOES ON AND ON. She has dedicated her entire life helping others... WE NEED TO HELP HER NOW.
It seems like I’m going on and on about Lynn, but a few words cannot describe her because She is so special, its not often you meet someone with so much good in their heart.
She is so special to so many people, but to one man, she is the whole world. That person is my grandfather, David Girard Sr. The way he looks at her is not something you see anymore, with so much love and admiration. She treats him like her king, and she is his queen. They are perfect together. Married for over 25 years- - they have overcome every obstacle that has come their way, never asking for help, or even telling ANYONE about their troubles. They conquer life and they do it together. They are a unstoppable team, and they come as one. Unfortunately, his health has declined, and he’s not able to work anymore. At his age, that’s expected from 99% of the population, but not to him. This was extremely difficult for him. He is a go getter, always working and always doing something. I remember he wakes up at like 3 in the morning LOL... dressed, hair slicked back- not a hair out of place and he was up and at it. He was always able to provide for his family, so when he couldn’t work anymore, you better believe it was a fight to get him to relax! Since then, Lynn has willingly taken over. As a long-time successful businesswoman, motivated and full of enthusiasm, she willingly took that role of being the main provider. She takes it day by day and marches on, head held high, and proud to care for her husband and grateful to see him relax, to save his health. Lynn is the type of person to never see the hardship, but to only see the ability to shine. The love they share is remarkable. He will never leave her side for all of eternity. They are one.
Lynn is one of those people that just being around her, will cheer you up. She is the person to drag you out to the dancefloor when your too embarrassed to dance. She is so bubbly. I can hear her now.... she comes in the room and she says “HEY GIRLY’’... always SO happy! The type of person you meet only once, but they make a life-long lasting impression that you will never forget. She’s the one to bring the family together when we’ve all hibernated to our corners. She is the one to tell you how beautiful you are, when you doubt yourself. She’s the one who gives her last dollar to the homeless man. She’s the one that smiles through it all, and stands tall through the tough times, never asking for help. She’s the one to take the negative, and miraculously, turn it into a positive. She’s glamorous, she’s flashy, she’s beautiful, she’s young, she’s selfless, she’s giving, she’s just so awesome, and when she does it—Bet your ass she does it big. You want steak? Lynn gets you steak & lobster.
She’s honestly everything anyone would want to be. I AM ASKING YOU TO HELP DONATE.
