Give Bap a Chance: Fund His Life-Saving Therapy
Donation protected

Our sweet little leukemia warrior, Bap, is a 3-year-old boy from Vietnam. He was diagnosed with high-risk T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) in October 2023, when he was only two. After being confined to a hospital bed for nearly a year and enduring chemotherapy, in September 2024, he finally returned home—only to face a heartbreaking relapse just 6 days later. Now diagnosed with a relapsed/refractory case of T-ALL, Bap's family was told that there were no further treatments available in Vietnam. But Bap's mother, Hoa, was unwilling to accept this as the final answer and desperately looked for options abroad.
After many letters and emails sent to research hospitals overseas, Hoa finally saw a glimmer of hope: the National University Hospital (NUH) in Singapore agreed to treat Bap with the novel CD7 CAR-T cell therapy, followed by a bone marrow transplant. This treatment is Bap's only hope, but it costs at least $450,000—a number far beyond the means of Hoa, a single mother working as an accountant at a local restaurant in Binh Duong.
But a mother's love knows no limits. She's determined to bring her son this life-saving treatment, despite the seemingly impossible odds. She sold all her assets and borrowed from relatives and friends. She had already left her job to stay by Bap's side in the hospital, but every night while Bap was sleeping, she would find a quiet corner in the hospital to livestream on her phone to sell fruits, tea, and other snacks to get funds for the treatment. Her unwavering dedication soon caught the attention of the press in Vietnam, and her story was featured in local news.
Thanks to the generosity of the Vietnamese community, Hoa was able to raise enough funds to get Bap admitted to NUH in Singapore and begin the preparatory steps for CAR-T therapy. But now, Bap still needs $225,000 to continue the CAR-T treatment and another $225,000 for the bone marrow transplant. Hoa is exhausted, but a mother never gives up—she's determined to fight for every possible chance to bring her son closer to this life-saving treatment.
To make this enormous goal more achievable, we are raising $70,000 for each stage of the treatment costs. This phased approach is our best hope of securing the funds necessary to continue Bap’s treatment. Through this GoFundMe, we hope to reach compassionate people around the world who can lend their support. We are asking for any help you can offer to Bap and his family—whether it’s a donation or simply spreading the words. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference that helps Bap continue his treatment and have a chance to live the full life he deserves.
All funds raised will go directly to cover Bap's medical bills at NUH Singapore. Bap's story is also featured on Give.Asia where his medical information (which uses his legal full name) is publicly available for transparency:
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and support.
