Give beautiful Lexi the send of she deserves!!

Hello all!

My name is Charlotte Lewis I was the previous owner of lexi up until last year and I am currently trying to raise money to help give Beautiful Lexi the send of she deserves and also help Sarah, Jimmy seed and family.

Some of you may of heard what has happened over the weekend but some may not of.

On Saturday 9th January Sarah and Jimmy received a phone call regarding one of there Pedigree Highland Cattle upon arriving on the field around 10.25. The sights they was to witness could not off been expected by anyone. There was a escaped dog which once they came to investigate was infact a rottweiler with no owner in sight, they could not get into or near any injured or distressed animals down to the aggression the dog in question shown.

Upon further investigation and much to their horror they found one of their much loved cattle Lexi led down in the field. Lexi had been horrifically attacked by dog in question and mauled her to death.  Her poor face and what a horrible traumatic death for such a soft gentle giant.

Lexi was also due to give birth to her first calf only 2 weeks from now on the 28th January so not only have they lost their beloved Lexi but also her beautiful unborn calf.

Lexi wasnt just a cow she was apart of a loving family unit who put their pride and joy into giving these animals there forever homes. As you can imagine the grief in which this family is going through.

Lexi certainly was one of a kind and had a unique personality which many people adored, she would run down the field as soon as she heard your vehicle and was also very vocal. She was also one of the most softest, gentle cows she loved nothing more then giving you cuddles and pinching a carrot of you while you wasnt looking. Most definitely a well loved pet more then just an animal.

I am currently trying to help set up this page with hopes of raising enough money to give Lexi loo the send of she deserves so am looking at raising around £650 for cremation costs.

Sarah, Jimmy and family do this for love and both have full time jobs and also have another cattle. Some of which they are still awaiting confirmation that they to have not lost their unborn calves so you can imagine the costs in which the family have already lost out on, but to all off is that doesnt matter as we saw lexi as one of us, but any help at the current time would be very much appreciated.

The funds in which I am hoping to raise are going towards giving lexi the send of which we think she all deserves and are hoping to get her cremated to be able to keep her ashes.

We would also like to thank everyone whom has already sent in their kind regards and too anyone who is willing to donate to such a lovely cause.

Please Please can anyone donate even just the smallest of amounts would help relieve this family at such a traumatic time. No animal or human deserves to go through what they all have had to enjure the weekend.

Also just a small reminder to all owners to always know where there pets are at all times so another death like this could hopefully be avoidable in the future. Due to irresponsible owners 3 lives was lost on that day as the dog in question had to be shot on site to stop any further damage being done. All off these deaths could of been prevented if the owners in question knew where there dog was.

If anyone would like to follow updates on Lexi journey please give BCS
Highland Cattle a follow
Thanks again for all your kind words.
